Rules & Guidelines
Eligibility
Films must have been completed after January 1, 2021. The maximum runtime is 60 minutes, including credits. Submissions must be in English or include English subtitles for films in other languages. All genres are welcome, including narrative, documentary, animation, and experimental works.
Submission Requirements
Films must be submitted via private, password-protected links on platforms like Vimeo or YouTube. Links must remain active throughout the festival selection process. Each submission must be accompanied by a fully completed submission form. Multiple entries are allowed, but each film requires a separate submission. Student filmmakers must provide proof of enrollment, such as a valid student ID or transcript, if submitting under the Student Film category.
Judging Criteria
Films will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
– Originality: The uniqueness of the concept and execution.
– Creativity: The innovative use of storytelling techniques and visuals.
– Narrative Structure: The clarity, flow, and engagement of the story.
– Technical Execution: Quality of cinematography, sound, editing, and production design.
– Emotional Impact: The ability to connect with and move the audience.
The judging panel consists of experienced filmmakers, industry professionals, and critics. All decisions made by the jury are final and binding.
Terms and Conditions
Filmmakers retain all rights to their work. However, by submitting, they grant the festival a limited license to screen and promote their film for festival-related activities. The festival reserves the right to disqualify any film that:
– Fails to adhere to the submission guidelines.
– Contains content that promotes hate speech, violence, or discrimination
– Is deemed technically unsuitable for screening.
The festival is not responsible for any technical issues, broken links, or submission errors. All submission fees are non-refundable.
Screening and Promotion
Selected films will be screened during the festival as part of the official program. By submitting, filmmakers grant the festival the right to:
– Screen their film during the event.
– Use short excerpts (up to 30 seconds), stills, and promotional materials for marketing purposes, including social media and press.
Filmmakers will be informed about the screening schedule and format upon selection.
Additional Information
Notification of selection status will be sent via email. Filmmakers of selected films may be invited to participate in Q&A sessions or panel discussions. Any questions regarding submissions can be directed to the festival team.
